Business Challenge 2026 registration is officially open. Teams can register until 8:00 AM on September 27, 2026 through the official registration form.

Not every idea becomes innovative simply by adding AI. So, what truly turns technology into real business value?

Over the past seven seasons, Business Challenge has gradually brought business problems beyond the boundaries of traditional case studies, giving students the opportunity to tackle real-world challenges, sharpen their strategic thinking and strengthen their problem-solving skills in an international academic competition.

Entering its eighth season, Business Challenge places business challenges in a new context: AI is reshaping how companies operate, understand customers, analyse data and make decisions. Yet the advantage does not come from using more AI. The real challenge is to identify the right problem through a business lens, define the right role for technology and turn AI into value that is meaningful, feasible and sustainable.

Innovating business for a sustainable and inclusive future

Business Challenge 2026 officially returns under the theme “Innovating Business for a Sustainable and Inclusive Future”, featuring three competition tracks across industries undergoing significant transformation: AI in Retail, AI in E-Commerce and AI in Finance & Banking.

This season expands not only the scope of the challenges, but also the community taking them on. The competition welcomes high school students as well as college and university students from Vietnam and around the world, creating a space where diverse perspectives, experiences and backgrounds can come together.

Each team must include at least one member with a background related to technology or computer science. This is more than a team requirement. It reflects how Business Challenge encourages cross-disciplinary collaboration from the beginning of the solution-building process: Business asks the right questions, Technology expands what is possible, and the entire team works together to create solutions that deliver real value to businesses.

The journey goes beyond a proposal on paper. Through the competition rounds, specialised training sessions, and real business challenges and contexts, participants will continuously test, refine and transform their ideas into applicable proposals and prototypes.

As UEH approaches its 50th anniversary, Business Challenge 2026 continues to serve as an academic platform closely connected with real-world practice, contributing to UEH’s spirit of multidisciplinary education, knowledge integration and sustainable development across the local and international student community.

Throughout the journey, the Academic Advisory Board, Board of Judges, Educational Partners and Sponsors will accompany participants and interested students, bringing professional insights, practical experience, capability-building activities and valuable networking opportunities throughout the season.

Competition information

• Eligible participants: High school students and students currently enrolled at colleges and universities in Vietnam and internationally.
• Participation format: Team-based registration with four members per team, with no restrictions on field of study, nationality or geographical location. Each team must include at least one member from a technology-related field.
• Language: English.
• Competition tracks: Track A — AI in Retail; Track B — AI in E-Commerce; Track C — AI in Finance & Banking.
• Track selection: After completing registration, each team will select one competition track and continue throughout the competition within its chosen field.
• Registration deadline: 8:00 AM on September 27, 2026.
